Overview

Ka’anapali Golf offers far more than just breathtaking scenery – it is recognized as a world-class golf facility, where even the easiest holes are a challenge. Heralded as one of the most spectacular courses a golfer can play on, Ka’anapali has been home to professional events and memorable golf moments since 1962. Highlights include the Champions Tour  Ka’anapali Classic, the LPGA Kemper Open and more recently Golf Channel’s Big Break Ka’anapali series and the Wendy’s Champions Skins Game (2008-2010)

Comprised of two championship courses, the Ka’anapali Golf Resort features distinct characteristics. Each utilizes Tif Eagle Grass on putting surfaces, and 419 variety on tees, fairways and the rough.

· Royal Ka’anapali Course: This newly renovated course has been designed to take advantage of the rolling hills and constant island breeze. This course also gives golfers a great excuse to spend some time at the beach; the ball will always break toward the setting sun, so be sure to catch the sunset on the beach the night prior to playing and watch just where the sun meets the horizon. This incredible sight helps improve not only your game, but your frame of mind, as well.   Fairways are wide but the greens will be sure to challenge any golfer.

· Ka’anapali Kai Course: Ka’anapali Kai has four sets of tees and allows for play at all levels. Following the natural design of the land, many holes are located upslope, in the foothills of the West Maui Mountains. This elevated position gives players an unbelievable view of the Pacific and the beautiful shoreline. The Kai Course was renovated in 2005 by noted golf architect Robin Nelson and hosted the ladies of Big Break Ka’anapali  in 2008.

Guests at Hyatt Regency Maui are treated to preferred rates at these courses, as well as unrivaled access to all their facilities.
